Batik is indigeneous culture based on java and recognized by UNESCO. It is an art how to draw by using an instrument which called “canting” and the wax which is already known since hundred years ago. Since the early 1970, batik has became popular with their functions at work of decorative art in the form painting batik is then displayed on walls or decoration is referred to as the birth place of decorative. Batik painting with the vanguard of this very famous batik in his time such as Amri Yahya, Bagong Kusudiharjo, Bambang Utoro, Kuswaji, and Sumiharjo.

1. Rusman
Born in September 8th
In 1975, he started making Batik Painting with special motive called 100 faces. This is the beginning of his work. , 1955 in Yogyakarta. He was talented man in painting. In 1974, he graduated his senior high school and developed his talent in painting. This made him realize more about his life to be dedicated the painting arts.
From 1976 – 1999 some exhibition were held in several cities in Indonesia, such as Bali, Bandung, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta. A new painting was created by him in 1985 by making oil painting with fingers, without abrush, a wonder…
In 1989, he was in Holland to display hisworks, both oil paitings and batik paintings in several galleries for exhibitions. Again in 2001, he come to Holland and Austria to show his wors in several exhibitions. Last but not the least, he held the exhibitions in Bali in 2005.

2. Aprat Kuswaji
Born in February 25th
Born among 12 children, he inherited his father talents and interests in decorative batik painting and developed the growth of decorative batik paintings himself. To increase his knowledge of decorative painting, he came to study at Padepokan Bagong Kusudiharjo, who had been a friend of his late father. , 1955 in Yogyakarta. His father was Kuswaji, a very famous artist of painting in the time of Amry Yahya, Bagong Kusudiharjo, Sumiharjo, and Bambang Utoro.
Now the challenges of modernization and the insistence of manifestation of the modern arts, he still faithfully fight to preserve what has been a breath of life, “canting” continues to pour his soul restlessly, and the wax continues to flow in the blood of his body. Although his works have spread all over the world, he will never quit.

3. Several other Batik Painter
